Tigers, and Tigers, and Tigers...oh my! The Tale of the Backward Boxers...

Hey kids!

I put my boxers on backward the other day. That should about wrap up how things have been going lately.

I haven't posted in a while apparently. I've been pretty tired and lazy lately. That's about it. Work has been about as much fun as phrenology performed by a drunken baboon lately. It's been SOOOOOO much fun. I was going to post a really long post last week with all sorts of stuff in it, but then I decided to go to bed rather than type stuff out for a couple of hours. The same thing happened the next day, and the next, and the next. Now I've already forgotten what I was going to write about. So I'll just start from scratch.

I've been spending the bulk of my time at work and thinking about work (there's a lot to think about right now). It's been pretty stressful. I'll leave it at that.

That leaves my time away from work...which either entails my other job or watching TV. I've been watching a lot of TV instead of blogging. TV may be an opiate for the masses...and it feels so good. It may melt the brain, but it does at least temporarily take your mind off of work.

I really don't have anything to report. I haven't done anything exciting since my last post. I haven't done anything exciting in a long time for that matter.

I actually did put my boxers on backward the other day. I didn't notice until I had to pee at work. So I've got my hand in my pants trying to find the flap and I just can't find it. I'm pulling all kinds of fabric trying to find it and end up giving myself a wedgie. I then of course figured out what I had done. It's easily remedied, but it makes you feel a little awkward the rest of the day. I'm happy to say that I lived through it.

Another fantastic editorial from Jack Lessenberry here. Here's last week's while we're at it.

Here's a great article from the newest Rolling Stone called The Worst Congress Ever. Definitely worth the read if you have the time.

And here's a nauseating look at The 10 Worst Congressmen from the same issue of Rolling Stone.

This news is a little late, but the Detroit Tigers are in the World Series. (I guess it has been a while since I posted.) I really hope that they can pull it off...and I really think they can. They're currently down 2-1 behind St. Louis. Tonights game was postponed on account of rain. This has gotten the city REALLY excited. This city needs something (positive) to be excited about. The local economy is in the shitter in a big way with the current state of the domestic automotive industry. It trickles down and affects everybody. Everything in this town is connected to the automotive industry somehow. You wouldn't believe how many people I encounter that are considering moving out of state. I've been looking in more detail in how to move to Australia, but it still looks like my only option is marrying an Australian woman. Any takers? Non-smokers only please! I cook! Anyhoo... the Detroit Tigers have really shaken things up and people have dumped a shitload of money into the downtown economy. (It's a good time to be a bar owner in Detroit!) A commentator the other day said that he was disappointed in the excitement of the Detroit crowd the other day because he heard that Detroit had a great, noisy crowd. Well, the fact that probably only a fifth of the seats were actually filled by Detroiters would explain a lot. Most of the people at the game are corporate asshole big-money types from out of town. I personally know a guy who sold 20 tickets at $1200 a pop. I also heard of a guy that has 8 season tickets in the Champion's Club who was offered $10,000 a seat per game. It's sick that people can throw that kind of money around. At least St. Louis is another working class city. I'll give them respect for that. But please observe the Budweiser boycott! I boycott it it already because it sucks, but please boycott it for baseball reasons. The most exciting day was when the Tigers beat the New York Assholes...I mean Yankees. That was something else! If the Tigers are kicking ass, the Lions are taking it in the ass...OUCH!!! Let's all hope that the Tigers win the world series. This town really needs a miracle right now.

I am REALLY looking forward for the Borat movie to come out. Really!!! I need a good laugh and I'm quite sure that this movie will provide it. The trailers have me laughing my ass off and I've read enough about it to know that it's a comic tour de force. I can't wait! Who wants to go with me?

I had an encounter the other day with a certain asshole priest. Many of my readers will know exactly who I'm talking about. There was this guy who was the biggest asshole on campus and now he's an asshole priest. He came in the store the other day in full asshole mode. Luckily he didn't recognize me from college so he was just an asshole without even trying. He came in smelling of cigars and ego and asked, "Hey! You! Do you know anything about wine?". I wanted to reply, "Am I rich and Republican enough for you to be speaking to me?" But I just went along with his questions so I could get him out of the store quicker. Yup! He's still a raging asshole! I really hope that he has nothing in common with Congressman Foley or certain other priests...

I just found out how much professinal clowns make an hour. Holy shit! I'm in the wrong business. Send in the clowns...

It's a little late now but I wanted to design a T-shirt that had a tiger with red feathers sticking out of its mouth for the World Series...

Here are a couple of pictures I took last year at this time in Lugano, Switzerland. I love these pictures because of the myriad of colors at the beautiful fruit stand...

I'm really missing my Swiss family... (FYI- I've never heard of a Robinson in Switzerland if you know what I mean...)

Like Seinfeld, this post was about nothing, but it was a post nonetheless. Maybe I'm out of original ideas???

ITMFA!

Eeewwww!!! HE was in the store? It's too bad you had to be professional and not spit on him.

The next time Father Dickbag graces your store, is there any way that you can accidentally punch him in the nuts?

Have you ever put your underwear on backwards? More times than I care to admit.

What are you giving out for Halloween? Rio (tastes like vanilla, cuz it IS vanilla).

What's your World Series prediction? We will probably muck it up.
